The best season of the flower is short. I should have been there last week, but I missed the chance. In the best season, the road is very much congested, and it is not easy to reach there. Today, I very smoothly reached there, which means the season was over.

A holiday in Onomichi

I went to Onomichi located 100km west from Okayama. It is a small town along a narrow strait and hills. It is famous for the fact that many poets and writers lived and stayed in the past. There are also many temples along the path from Onomichi station to the top of the hill. As many other hilly towns, we can see cats here and there.

But in Onomichi, a dog lives that is famous all over Japan. Her name is "Dobin", and it is famous for her routine work that she works as a guide dog. We were lucky that we saw Dobin in the hill. She is already 13 years old, and she doesn't work as hard as before. Even as a dog, it doesn't seem easy to go up and down the hill many times every day. I hope to see her again in the near future.
